I missed a couple of timely items for the Vinton Shellsburg School District so I am sending out this email with a special update as well on action taken by the Benton County Supervisors.
Update: The Supervisors have changed tomorrow's agenda
For unknown reasons, the Auditor item which was previously on the agenda for tomorrow has been removed from the meeting with the Benton County Supervisors. However, topic number 15 at 9:30 A.M. Information Technology is still on.Re: Possible closed session pursuant to Iowa Code 21.5(1)(i) To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual requests a closed session.

Iowa House sends bill making illegal immigration a state crime to governor
By Robin OpsahlHouse lawmakers sent a bill making illegal immigration a state crime in Iowa to Gov. Kim Reynolds’ desk Tuesday.Senate File 2340 was approved on a vote of 64-30. The bill would make entry or being found in Iowa an aggravated misdemeanor for people who have been denied admission, deported or otherwise removed from the U.S., of if they have an order to leave the country outstanding.
