Surrounded by his loving family, Leonard Mullnix, 80, passed away peacefully at Virginia Gay Hospital Sunday, November 13, 2022. Private services will be held. Public Celebration of Life will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Mt. Auburn American Legion Hall. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.Leonard is survived by his wife, Leslie; sons: Chawn (Julie) Mullnix, Jayson Mullnix, Richard (Jackie) Bear and Chris Bear; daughters: Marlene (Rick) Lassen, Dana (Tom) Hanson, Karen (Virgil) Hootman and Amy (Steve) Van De Walle; 14 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jacob, Morgan, Riley, Kyle, Trina, Andrew, Abby, Alyssa, Alex, Dylan, James, Lucas and Peyton; several great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Smith; sister-in-law, Ruth Howrey; two nephews; and best friend, Bruce Mehlert.

Cleo L. Gentz, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dee Neumeyer

Dee NeumeyerBorn in Mobile Alabama in 1943Age 79Date of death November 7, 2022Born in Mobile, Alabama, the first part of Dee's life was spent in an orphanage in Vinton, Iowa. She was adopted in her teens by Ethel and John Reed and quickly adapted to family life. She then moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend North Eugene High School where she was homecoming queen in addition to being a gymnast and cheerleader.

Edward “Ed” Louis Mann

Edward “Ed” Louis Mann, 72 of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Friends may visit with the family on Friday November 11, 2022 at Teahen Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m.Ed is survived by his wife Lynn of Cedar Rapids; son Eric Mann (Barry Dmytro) of Medford WI., and daughter Heather (Brad) Bunn of North Liberty; five grandchildren Cassidy, Declan, Ryker McMahill, Hannah and Nolan Bunn; sister Karen (Don) Saylor of Vinton; two wonderful pussy cats.

Paulette Henkle, 75, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Vinton, with Pastor Anne Williams officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday, November 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial: Garrison Cemetery. Glenyce Bolte, 88, of Vinton and formerly of Tripoli, died Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Vinton Lutheran Home.According to her wishes, her body has been cremated. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Faith United Church of Christ with Rev. Marilyn Sargent officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Church on Monday starting at 10:00 AM and continuing with a luncheon after the service.

Wenner, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his rural Vinton home, with his family by his side.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2022 at the PhillipsFuneral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th) in Vinton.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, with graveside military rites.
