DRAKESVILLE -- William E. “Bill” Hilliard, 86, of Drakesville, died August 3, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born April 27, 1927 in Wayne County, Iowa to Otto and Eva Showalter Hilliard. He married Aida Mae Gardner June 14, 1947 in Kansas. She preceded him in death August 29, 2012. Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II.
