  Tina (Dolley) Reifenstahl, 39, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2012 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf house in Hiawatha, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Per Tina's request her body has been donated to the University of Iowa for research. There will be no services at this time and burial service will take place at a later date.

Harold L. Evans, 87, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. David Lingard officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton with graveside military rites conducted by Geo.

  Herman Wax, 87, of Grinnell, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at the First Presbyterian Church in Grinnell.  A private family burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

LaVaun “Bonnie” Milne, 92, passed away on May 23, 2012, at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living Residence in Longmont, Colorado. Bonnie was born on December 23, 1919, to William Raymond and Anna (Fehr) Raymond of Garrison, Iowa and was a graduate of Garrison High School. Bonnie and Dean Gilliatt of Garrison were married from July 1943 until his death on active military duty in June, 1944.

VINTON – Beverly Jean Anderson, 79, of Vinton, Iowa, died peacefully Friday, June 1st, surrounded by her family. She said goodbye to her best friend and husband of 60 years, John, son Craig and his wife, Linda, and daughter Jody Berces and passed away. Beverly leaves behind her husband; two children: Craig Anderson and wife Linda, and Jody Berces and husband Roy; three grandchildren: Jennifer Anderson Zieser and husband Steve, Jill Anderson Louzek and husband Dan, and Anna Berces; three great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Thomas and John Louzek; and her sister, Dondaleen McCaleb.

VAN HORNE - Kenneth Feuerbach, 90 of Van Horne died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.  Funeral Arrangements are pending with Phillips Funeral Homes - Keystone.

MARENGO:  Mary Jane Schulte, 90 of Marengo died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Rosehaven Nursing Home in Marengo following an extended illness.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012 St. Patrick Catholic Church in Watkins with Father Brian Dellaert as Celebrant.  Public Visitation will also be held at the church in Watkins from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, where a Rosary Service will be held at 7 PM.

VINTON – Darlene Hilton, 81, of Vinton, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home, 1212 1st Ave.

Ruth Margaret Bevins, 90, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Vinton, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton, with Father Ardel Barta as Celebrant. Friends may register at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E.

  Ramon Dale Merchant, 77, of Vinton, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., in Vinton, with the Rev. Jim Blair officiating. Friends may register at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Private Committal Services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton.
