Dean Allen Robison

Dean Allen Robison collapsed during therapy at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, on May 21, 2024, at 3:36 pm in the afternoon.Dean grew up in the Walker area on the family farm working odd jobs until he went to work with Carlson Construction driving a dump truck. He frequently talked about working on construction of the old Highway 20. Dean later moved to Dysart to work for Wiecks Feed and Livestock.

James Lynn Kelly

James Lynn Kelly, 83, of Cedar Rapids, formally of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 24, 2024 after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.Born April 23, 1941 in Benton county to Virgil and Mary Catherine (Bevins) Kelly. James grew up in Van Horne and after graduating from there, Jim served in the Army.James married Alene Dorman of Belle Plaine on March 26, 1972.

Gretchen Gladys Kullmer

Gretchen Gladys Kullmer was born on Dec. 4, 1932, in Independence, Iowa, the first born to Edward Thedens and Ruth Schmidt Thedens. She was promoted to her heavenly home on May 21, 2024, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo after a brief illness. She spent her growing up years in Jesup and attended the First Presbyterian Church with her family and on Rally Day, September 1942, she gave her heart and life to Jesus.

Thomas William Busenbark

Thomas William Busenbark, 83, of Shellsburg, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 surrounded by his family and beloved dog, Sammy from complications of Alzheimer’s.A celebration of life will be held from 2-6 p.m. at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg on Saturday, June 8, 2024.Tom was born April 26, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Erma (Street) Busenbark.

Randy Ray Olson, age 68, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital.Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Oregon Township Cemetery with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. James Lowell (JR) Ryan

James Lowell (JR) Ryan (97), of Hollywood, FL, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024. He was born to Wallace and Lucille Ryan on September 10, 1926 in Chelsea, IA. He and his younger brother, Lyle, grew up on a farm near Hartwick, IA. It was here that his values and strong work ethic were instilled. Growing up, he enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball and basketball, both of which he coached during his teaching career.
