Sports : V-S Trap Team Places 4th at Cedar Falls HS Shoot

The Vinton-Shellsburg Trap Teams traveled to the second largest HS shoot in Cedar Falls.  V-S Black, the top squad consisting of Bryce Burroughs, Dalton Lebeda, Wyatt Lebeda, Drake Tilson, and Curtis Geiger shot an all time team high of 217/250 earning them 4th Place out of 62 squads. The V-S team is starting to knock off some of the larger teams in the state.  This is the same facility that on June 4th will host the Iowa High School State Trap Shoot, so it was exciting for the team to shoot well and place in the top six.

V-S Trap Team Shoots Well in Home Event Against Mt. Vernon

The Vinton-Shellsburg Trap Team hosted its final home trap meet against Mt. Vernon Sat. May 7th finishing 1st and 2nd respectably.  Bryce Burroughs created some excitement by hitting 25 straight at the 16 yd line and missing only one to have the top score of 49/50.
