The Vinton 12 and under boys baseball team won second place in their home tournament this past weekend.
More than 30 teams competed in Vinton and Shellsburg during the two-day event. Games took place at Marvin Lindsey Field as well as the Lions field in Vinton and the ball diamonds in Shellsburg.
