Karen Joanne Bartachek, 84, of Maquoketa, IA passed away June 13, 2021 at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa.Karen was the daughter of Louis and Helen (Formanek) Bartachek born on April 2, 1937 in Belle Plaine. IA. Karen graduated from Belle Plaine High School and Iowa State Teachers College with a BA in Instrumental Music. Roger James Evans, 77, passed away Monday, June 7th, 2021, at Allen Hospital, in Waterloo, Iowa following a battle with cancer.He was born August 10th, 1943, to Merrill James Evans and Neva Ruth (Stevenson) Evans in Vinton, Iowa.Roger was born with a disability that, at that time in our society, should have been extremely limiting for him. He refused to accept those limitations and achieved an independence and lust for life that many, without disabilities, fail to achieve.

Gregory “Greg” Alec Breja, 50, of Elberon, IA passed away suddenly, June 5, 2021 at his home, due to a heart condition. Greg was born October 11, 1970 in Waterloo, IA to Stephen and Elizabeth “Betty” (Gindt) Breja. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1989. Douglas was born October 9, 1951 to William and Arlene (Bushnell) Thompson. He attended Washington High School in Vinton. He served his country in the United States Army and later enlisted in the Navy.
