Rikki William Young, 63, of Vinton died October 10th, 2024 at Allen Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 27th 1-4pm at the Vinton American Legion. Rik's focus in life were his children and grandchildren. After that it was the Kansas City Chiefs, his truck and his motorcycle.He is survived by his mother Kathy Smith, his children Dakotah (Katie and Kyra), Tristan (Jasmine, Nellii and Jordan), Jaden (Kiarra and Madilynn). It has pleased the Lord to receive Selma Marie Kaiser, 94, into her heavenly home. She passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Vinton, Iowa. June Marie Salerno, “Junebug”, born June 4, 1931, went to be with our Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 11, 2024. VanSteenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for June and her family.June was born, raised and lived most of her life in Upstate New York. Dennis Dayle VanDeVenter, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Harmony Cedar Rapids Memorial Services are pending at this time. Dennis was born on December 23, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Joseph and Inez (Runyon) VanDeVenter. He graduated from Washington High School, with the Class of 1963.
