Patricia Ann (Shiery) Popelka was born on March 20, 1934, in Adel, Iowa to Albert and Ester (Grow) Shiery. Patty passed away on November 20, 2024. Her family moved to Belle Plaine, Iowa where Patty graduated from high school. Patty was united in marriage to her next-door neighbor, Melvin Popelka on July 18, 1952, at the Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE. Lonnie “Lonny” Dean Hach
Lonnie “Lonny” Dean Hach, 62, of Farmers Branch, TX, formerly of Dysart, IA passed away at home on November 9, 2024, after a sudden illness. Lonny was born on March 3, 1962, to the parents of Donald and Marilyn (Bryan) Hach at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Lonny was baptized and confirmed at the Dysart EUB Church. Jacquelyn Marie Kinney, 76, of Vinton, Iowa passed away November 18, 2024, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial is assisting with arrangements. Jaci was born September 9, 1948, in Charles City, Iowa to Harlan and Margaret (Wagner) Schmidt. Duane Robert Konicek, 89 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Duane was born August 14, 1935 in Clutier, IA the son of John R. and Rose (Stahr) Konicek. He grew up in Elberon before moving with his family to Belle Plaine, where graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Following school, he was drafted into the United States Army, which he served during the Korean Conflict.
