Brian Channel officiating, Interment with military rites will be held at National Cemetery in Vining. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time, also at the funeral home. Brian Scott Bratten, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following multiple medical issues. Brian was born August 26, 1962 in Oelwein to Emil and Joyce (Grantham) Bratten. Brian grew up in Vinton, where he attended Washington High School and was a member of the wrestling team. Paul Otto Haendler, 93, of Norway, died Thursday, November 21, 2024 at his home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Paul is survived by his wife, Marlene; daughters Debra Prevost (Doug Stover) of Mesa, AZ, and Christina (Randy) Coleman of Overgaard, AZ; sons Rik (Brenda) Haendler of Norway, IA and Dik Haendler of Fort Madison, IA; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Izabella "Bella" Hope Denny, a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 13. Bella was born healthy on July 18, 2011, to Chris and Rachel Morton-Denny. Due to a tragic car accident when she was only 22 months old Bella sustained irreversible injuries.
