Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Phillips Funeral Home, Keystone from 4-7 PM. Karen Halva, 78, of West Union, Iowa died Friday, January 26, 2024, at
Gunderson Palmer Hospital in West Union, Iowa. She was born October
28, 1945, to Wayne and Jeanne (Kephart) Gulick. Karen graduated from
Vinton High School in 1963 and went on to earn her BA in education
from the University of Northern Iowa in 1967.
On June 8, 1968, Karen was united in marriage with Gary Halva in

Steven A. Camarata, 72, of La Porte City, died on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. Steven was born on March 31, 1951 in Cedar Falls, the son of Alfred and Vera Koch Camarata.He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1970.Steven married Diane Richardson on October 6, 1973 in La Porte City.
