Girls WAMAC Super Meet  (15 teams) held @ Timberline Golf Course, Peosta par 73  (36,37) Weather: cool, cloudy, windy conditions; some rain/lightening We had a storm delay midmorning, so it was a lengthy round.   Medalist: Stine Laursen, Maquoketa     84 Runner-up: Ellie Ament, Western Dubuque  86        V-S improved from last year's team's 14th place finish to 8th (out of 15 teams)!  Timberline is a tough course to walk; it is long and hilly and filled with hazards.

Welcome to another round of Views from the Grandstands from the birthplace of the IMCA Modified. Tonight is our Mother's day special in which additional prizes were drawn from Mother's tickets as well as a limited number of flowers provided to all Mothers courtesy of the folks at Ron Da Voo Lunge and Deli. It was a tad nit windy and I was concerned if the track was going to hold up.

       On Thursday, May 5, the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes competed in a dual with Benton Community at the Par-37 Tara Hills course in rural Van Horne on a cool, breezy, rainy day.   Team Scores: V-S            203 Benton       207   Individuals: Medalist: Hannah Looney   V-S    47 Runner-up: Kelsey Brecht     B.

     The Vinton-Shellsburg seventh grade boys won or placed in several events and took second place at the Little VIking Track Meet Tuesday in Vinton.      Winners for VSMS included the 800 sprint medley team, Nick Hyland (long jump) and Cole Garwood (discus). Here are the results from the WAMAC West divisional golf tourney held at Stone Creek Country Club, Williamsburg May 2. It is a 9 hole tourney.  Benton and CPU were also there. We played districts there last year and our scores show a lot of improvement.  Yesterday we tied with Benton @ 207.  Last year we shot rounds of 235 and 226.
