Eighth grade boys win VSMS Invite May 4 at Karr Complex

The Vinton-Shellsburg 8th grade boys won the 8th Grade title at the Little Viking Invitational May 4, in Vinton. Center Point-Urbana took second. Chase Overton won the discus event and set a new school record of 140 feet, 9 inches.

V-S boys win Viking Relays; Benton third

The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings won their home track meet, the Viking Invitational, by a large margin Thursday evening. V-S had 147.50 points, second place Marion, 113 and third place Benton Community, 76.
