Vikings win again; take first at Iowa Valley track meet
With just a few first place finishes, but many medalists, the Vinton-Shellsburg boys won another track meet on Tuesday, winning the Ruth Ahrens Invitational at Iowa Valley. The Vikings scored 128.5 points, one more than second-place Solon.
"It was another great win for the guys," said Coach Aric Chvala. "A lot of the time people think that you have to win every event to win a track meet but I guess we are proving that theory wrong -- we don't win many events but we we place in most of them.
