John 'Jack' Jackson Ford

John “Jack” Jackson Ford, 94 of Marengo died Monday, May 17, 2010 at Marengo Memorial Hospital.  Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown with Rev. Jena Manchester officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Alvin E. Gaylor

Alvin E. Gaylor Alvin E. Gaylor, 85, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in his Vinton home where he resided the past 5 years, though born and raised in the land of the cornhuskers!      He was born in Havelock, Nebraska, May 8, 1925, one of 6 siblings born to Orval and Anna Hinzmann Gaylor. The greatest love of his life is Christ Jesus, his wife of 52 years, his two daughters, their husbands, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, plus many, many good friends that have come in and out of his life over the years; and serving in several churches, working with youth bus routes, VBS, adult bible studies in his home and so much more.

Charles E. Johnson age 79 of Zumbrota died Saturday evening, May 8, 2010 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. Funeral service was held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Goodhue with Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. Mary Louise Frazier Mary Louise Frazier, 79, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone following an extended illness.      A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM., Wednesday, Mary 19, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne with Father Jack McClure, C.PP.S. as Celebrant.  Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery near Keystone.

Neville Rollin Randall

Neville Randall Quasqueton - Neville Rollin Randall, father of Denise Wrucke of rural Dysart,  died on Sunday, May 9, 2010, at his cabin on the Wapsipinicon River north of Independence, Iowa. He was 88 years old. He was born on October 15, 1921, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Rollin Austin and Pearle Ione (Neville) Randall. He graduated from high school in Independence with the Class of 1939.

Cottrell VINTON:  Marion Charles Cottrell, 74, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton following an extended illness.      A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM, on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St., in Vinton.  Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery near Vinton.

Bryant, (age 74) 5008 Linkside Drive Las Vegas, NV passed away May 9th at 7:00pm following a short illness.  Visitation, without the body present, will be Friday May 21st at Phillips Funeral Home (Keystone) from 4-8pm.  Services will be held Saturday May 22nd at 10am at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (Cedar Rapids) by Father Mark Osterhaus.
